The Milwaukee Fire Bell Club was formed in 1947 under the guidance of then Milwaukee Fire Department Chief Engineer Edward Wischer. The club membership is limited to 40 active members. Club social meetings are held on the 4th Thursday of each month except July, August and November. Meetings are held at various locations and reservations are required. This ESU went into service March 19, 1999 after completion of custom
renovations
at the Welch Fire Apparatus Company.
The
Milwaukee Fire Bell Club served as hosts for the 2003 IFBA
convention.
The IFBA has over 80 clubs in its ranks and past attendance at our
conventions
has been over 300.

The club also operates MilwaukeeFIRENET. The firenet program is operated by local volunteer dispatchers and transmits pages to subscribing members, reports of working fires and major incidents both locally and from most larger cities around the nation.
