September 2011

Thank you for taking the time to investigate our web site. The International Fire Buff Associates has a long and rich history. A long time before the IFBA came into existence there were notable people like George Washington, Dr. Arthur Fiedler and Sir Winston Churchill who were fire buffs in their own right. Our members come from all walks of life and if one thing can be said about our members, it is they enjoy serving those who serve and protect us.

The Greater Toronto Multiple Alarm Association (GTMAA) has through their web site received five inquiries from people interested in joining our club.  I encourage each club, if you don’t have a web site, set one up and the executive office would be happy to assist you. If your club already has a web site, perhaps updating it would encourage more visitors. I encourage and challenge each club to get at least one new person interested in joining your club before the next convention in Toronto.

If you are a visitor to this web site, contact the executive office for the nearest club in your area to join. If you are in an area without a club, we would be very happy to help you set one up.

I think immediate Past President Paul Schaetzle put it best at the wonderful convention in New Jersey, conventions are a good time but it’s the friendships made and renewed that make it all worthwhile.

Again, thank you for visiting and please use the “Contact Us” button if you would like more information about the IFBA.

Sincerely,

Gary Wignall, President
